Why I Do Family Photography

I’ve always been passionate about capturing meaningful moments, but why, especially, family photography?

A big part of it is because I’m a mom, too. I know how quickly childhood changes, and how fleeting these everyday moments can be.

As a mother, I find so much meaning in documenting my own family, and I want to help other families who feel the same way.

I also know how easy it is for moms to be the ones behind the camera. When I look through our family photos, I’m reminded that I want to be in those memories, too.

Family photographs remind me to slow down and appreciate this season of life—to be present, even in the beautiful chaos.

I want the mothers I photograph to see themselves as beautiful and to remember that they are an important part of their family’s story.

And most of all, I feel genuine joy when I see a real smile, a little moment of connection, or something completely unexpected unfold in front of my camera.

Those authentic moments are what make family photography so meaningful to me.
